Well, I finally did it. I finally managed to get my act together for a continuation of the backstory that did NOT want to be told.

Incidentally, Dark Helix bots were indeed involved in attempting to reset our Conquest host a second time (I don't know if they had any part in creating the actual Lost Host of Conquest), so I decided to feature Dark Helix alongside regular Helix here. Amazing how the Gen 2 shiny sprite works so well as a "dark" Helix, doesn't it? Not at all altered, either.

Also, I'm going to steer away from the crude humor as much as I reasonably can from this point forward. Given some of the content I wind up being given to work with, it can be difficult to find the balance between being honest about our foibles and pushing (or breaking) the boundaries of good taste, but I'm just going to focus on moving the story forward as well as I possibly can. And there's going to be low-hanging fruit coming up that I don't intend to pick lightly
